Rice Husk Balers Rice Husk (also known as Rice Hull) is the outermost layer of a rice grain. It is low in density and has an unusual shape, normally with the dimension around 5mm. Due to these characteristics, the conventional way of baling and strapping is not suitable as the bale will soon break and split up once it is taken out from the chamber. To meet different utilization, we developed two ways of baling for such material. Pressing the material into dense block and then bag it. This is one of the ways that majority of the rice husk recyclers adopted. This baling solution corresponds to a bagging baler. Rick husk bales produced by bagging baler are easily loosened and the material normally keeps its original form after the bale is broken up. And because these rice husks will recover into its original form, it can be reused in food or chemical industry to turn into substances such as sugar, ethanol, etc. When choosing a bagging baler for rice husks, you have to consider a suitable pressure force for the machine, which it should neither be too big nor too small. Rice husk is relatively small in size and it generates great friction between the material and the machine inner walls during pressing process, therefore it requires certain level of pressure force to push the material through the baler chamber. If your rice husk is smaller than average size, it will means your material’s original bulk density is higher than average, so will require machine with higher compressing force. According to our years of experience, the pressure force required to bale rice husk should be at least 60 tons, in order to produce a bale approximately 20kgs in weight. If you are pursuing bigger bales (that will means the chamber has to be expanded to bigger size so as to receive more material for each feeding), higher pressure force has to be adopted. Baling rice husk normally creates a very dusty environment, regardless whether you are using a bagging baler or a briquetting baler. In order to minimize the amount of dust flying around in your workshop and contaminate your work space, you can consider adding a protective cover at the top of the hopper to help containing the material within the machine. You can refer to our sales team to get sample images of the protective cover and get more information about it.

Sawdust is a fine wood article, usually below 1 mm in diameter. When choosing a baling machine to press sawdust, you have to consider a proper compressing force which normally should be above 80 tons. Otherwise the machine cannot generate enough force to push this material through its chamber. Even if it can be pushed through, the motor will be overloaded and it will reduce the lifespan of the machine significantly. The smaller the material, the more friction will be generated between the material and the machine chamber wall during the compressing and bale ejecting process. Therefore, choosing the compressing force of a baler for sawdust should also take into consideration what chamber size the machine needs to meet a certain bale weight. Bigger chamber will mean more material to be pushed through; therefore will require a bigger compressing force to do the job. The above-mentioned 80 tons compressing force is ideal for a compressing chamber of 700 x 310 mm and ejecting chamber of 400 x 310 mm. If you prefer a bigger chamber size of 700 x 400 mm with 450 x 400 mm ejecting chamber to make a bigger bale, you should consider a bigger compressing force like 100 tons because the 80 tons pressure force is no longer suitable. When baling sawdust, you often have the material flying everywhere in the workshop. To counter this problem, you can choose a baling machine with a protection cover at the top of the hopper to help containing the material in the machine, and reduce the dust flying around and contaminating your factory. You can refer to our sales team to get sample images of the protection cover for your reference. If you are baling bigger wood articles like wood shaving and wood chip, which usually is about 1 to 1.5 cm in size, please go to our page "Wood Shaving/Chip" for detailed guideline.
